Ben Maynard, a British citizen based in the UK, is a media and communications specialist focused on explaining complex technology issues to non-tech audiences, creating sustainable narratives in order to drive effective change. Ben led the secretariat of ICOMP for 7 years creating groundswell of interest, understanding and ultimately support for anti-competition action against Google in Europe. Ben has also worked on IP and standards related communications and corporate positioning for GSMA and others. His recent work includes extracting key data points from legal and economic academic research to develop strategic actions and talking points in support of fair digital competition advocacy campaigns pan-European. Ben was formerly managing director and head of the EMEA technology practice at Burson-Marsteller, now BCW. In this capacity he managed pan-European communications campaigns involving multiple agencies across Europe.
