An attorney by training, Ryan has over 20 years of experience with the innovation economy as a senior policymaker, corporate executive, and strategic advisor to senior level government officials and multinational executives on matters impacting product development, corporate licenses to operate, and consumer trust.
Ryan’s areas of policy expertise include: competition, intellectual property, data stewardship / management (privacy, encryption, blockchain, transparency, and prohibited uses), artificial intelligence, and freedom of speech related issues (terrorism, hate speech, and misinformation).She has worked with companies of all sizes facing brand, market, and regulatory questions to their operations; venture capital funds seeking to understand the impact of policy on their investments; and coalitions pursuing broad-based legislative reforms. Current and former clients include but are not limited to: AIMed, Apple, Cisco, Dropbox, eBay / Stubhub, Field, Google, Intel, NukkAI, Salesforce, Sema, Silicon Valley Bank, and Uber. She has also provided pro bono consulting to startups within the Station F (Paris, France) and Transformative Tech (London Chapter) ecosystems.
